Amendments to the University Charter

Our Charter was partially amended, approved at the special University Affairs Committee meeting of the spring semester in the 2020 academic year (February 24, 2021), the University Affairs Committee meeting (June 17, 2021), and the 13th Board of Trustees meeting of the 17th term (June 18, 2021), and reported to the Ministry of Education for approval (approved on August 10, 2021).

The amendments are described below:

1. Name change, integration, and adjustment of academic units were made in the 2021 academic year. (Amendment to Article 4)

2. In response to changes in institutions of higher education, the organizational structure was adapted to properly distribute resources. The Secretary’s Office as changed to the Secretariat, the Public Relations Office was integrated into the Secretariat, and Huayu Indu.-Acad. Operation Center was newly established as the first-level administrative unit in the spring semester of the 2020 academic year. These adjustments were discussed and approved at the 6th Administration Committee meeting in the fall semester of the 2020 academic year (January 5, 2021). (Amendment to Article 9)

3. The scope of the Student Appeal Committee was revised according to the third instruction outlined in the official document (Tai-Jiao-Xue (II) No.1090105643) from the Ministry of Education on July 29, 2020. (Amendment to Article 17)

4. The rules of administrative staff employment and establishment for the Board of Trustees are set forth. (Addition of Article 21)
